Rood Technology – a leading independent service provider for the electronics industry – announced today the results from recent customer audits and its activities for environmental protection. Three major players of the European Semiconductor Industry audited the German daughter of Rood Technology.

One audit focused on requirements of the automotive industry and resulted in a classification as A-supplier, which is the highest possible ranking. The other customer audited Rood Technology as supplier in comparison with other service providers on a global scale. As result of this comparison Rood Technology ranks 1st worldwide among all service providers working together with this company.

Percentagewise the best score was obtained by the 3rd company resulting in even roughly 99% of the maximum. “All audit results prove the quality and reliability of the work done by the German daughter of Rood Technology and especially shows the customer orientation of its organisation” said Wolfgang Wagner, CEO of Rood Testhouse International.

Following its internal roadmap the German daughter of Rood Technology took major efforts to further optimize environmental protection. Several measures to save energy resulted in a decrease of power consumption by approximately 23 %. The change of power mix towards 50% renewable energies (solar, wind, biomass, etc.) helped to avoid 2.477 tons of CO2 production within one year.

Additionally these activities reduced the monthly costs for power by approximately 750 €. Besides the reduction of power consumption and air pollution also the use of water was decreased. Rood Technology plans to take further measures to protect the environment.
